Myanmar's MSMEs urged to adopt solar energy to tackle power shortages


YANGON (Xinhua): Myanmar's Chairman of the Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) Development Committee Vice Senior General Soe Win has urged MSME businesses to adopt solar energy to address power shortages, state-run daily The Mirror has reported.

At a committee meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday, MSME businesspeople discussed issues related to electricity supply. Soe Win encouraged the use of solar energy to overcome the challenge of insufficient electricity in industrial zones, the report said.
