BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Proton Brunei unveiled the latest model in its line-up following the official launch of the all-new Proton X70 2025 at the parking area of the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex on Friday (Jan 31).

The event saw Proton Brunei Managing Director Hambali Mohd Salleh deliver a welcoming speech.

Meanwhile, Proton Brunei Marketing Executive Hariz Akmal Hanafi during the product presentation said, “Basically there will be a refined design for the new model, redefined connectivity, reassured safety and a more responsive performance.

“Exterior wise, customers will also be able to enjoy new features such as hood, LED lamps, front grille, front bumper, fender, alloy wheels and rear bumper.”

Entering the Borneo market, the sports utility vehicle features a sleek design, improved responsiveness, enhanced connectivity, top-tier safety and advanced technology.

Emphasising the refined design, the Proton X70 2025 boasts full LED headlamps, power tailgate and ambient light.

The nearby auto open function allows drivers ease and convenience of a hands-free operation.

All variants are powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged and direct-injected four-cylinder petrol engine, which serves up 181 hp and 285 Nm of torque.

The interior of the Proton X70 2025 is fitted with a Geely Smart Ecosystem (GKUI) Android-based infotainment system, featuring an eight-inch TFT LCD touchscreen, MirrorLink connectivity for Android smartphones and voice command that responds to the activation term ‘Hi Proton’.

The executive and premium variants add on an around-view mirror, but it is the latter that enjoys a suite of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS).

These include automatic emergency brake (AEB), front collision warning (FCW), adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane departure warning (LDW), blind spot information system (BLIS), door opening warning system (DOW), and intelligent high beam control (IHBC).
