Landslide in Bali kills at least five

DENPASAR: Rescuers from Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) are conducting a rescue operation after a landslide hit a village on the Indonesian island of Bali on Jan 20.

At least five construction workers have died following the landslide that hit the village in Bali's provincial capital of Denpasar, an official told local media.

According to a preliminary report, the disaster took place in their accommodations in Ubung Kaja Village. Three others, also workers, reportedly managed to survive the disaster and are now at the nearby hospital. - Xinhua
