Over one million young children are working in the Philippines as recorded in 2023


MANILA (Bernama-Xinhua): The number of working children aged five to 17 was estimated at 1.09 million in 2023, down from 1.48 million in 2022, according to the latest data released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

In 2021, the agency said there were 1.37 million working children in the Philippines, reported Xinhua.
