SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lawrence Wong spoke with incoming US president Donald Trump over the phone on Tuesday (Nov 18), congratulating him on his victory in the recent election.

“The US-Singapore partnership is strong and dynamic, built on a deep reservoir of mutual trust and shared interests,” PM Wong wrote in a Facebook post after the call.

The Prime Minister, who is currently at the Group of 20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, added that he looks forward to working with Trump and his team to deepen bilateral ties. - The Straits Times/ANN
