Indian army kill suspected rebel in Kashmir after convoy ambush


SRINAGAR, (India): Indian troops killed a suspected rebel in Kashmir on Monday (Oct 28) hours after gunmen sprayed a military convoy with bullets, the army said, the latest attack in the disputed Himalayan territory.

Muslim-majority Kashmir has been divided between rivals India and Pakistan since their independence from British rule in 1947, and is home to a long-running insurgency.
