Bacolod resort’s ‘chicken’ building makes it in Guinness World Records

BACOLOD CITY, (Philippines): The Guinness World Records has recognised the “Manok ni Cano Gwapo Tan” at Campuestohan Highland Resort in Talisay City, Negros Occidental as the largest building in the shape of a chicken.

The 15-room building towers over the resort in Sitio Campuestohan, Barangay Cabatangan.

It will be inaugurated on October 19, resort owner Ricardo “Cano” Tan said.

“The largest building in the shape of a chicken measures 34.9 meters (114 feet 7 inches) in height, 12.1 meters (39 ft 9 inches) in width and 28.1 meters (92 ft 5 inches) in length and was achieved by Ricardo Cano Gwapo Tan (Philippines) at Campuestohan Highland Resort in Negros Occidental, Philippines, as verified on 8 September 2024,” the Guinness World Records declared on its website.

The building depicts a rooster and it is a hotel within the Campuestohan Highland Resort, it added in its post. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN
