Radio Television Brunei roadshow enlightens Belait community

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Belait District residents gained valuable insights into the operations of Radio Television Brunei (RTB) during the Badudun Bersama Biskita roadshow at the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Sultan Bolkiah Campus on Thursday (Aug 22).

The roadshow featured briefings by RTB representatives, who highlighted the extensive efforts behind the daily broadcasting of channels and programmes nationwide to foster community engagement.

Attendees, comprising IBTE students and teachers, were introduced to the various departments within RTB, including Radio, Television and Archival Services.

They also learnt about the broadcasting infrastructure, spanning traditional aerial antennas and the RTBGo app.

A panel discussion was also held, led by acting head of TV shows Aminah Metali, acting head of radio programmes Nur Afidah Abdul Malik and acting supervising engineer Amir Akram Awang Besar.

The session included a question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of RTB’s broadcasting operations and future endeavours.

Following the presentations, attendees visited exhibition booths set up by RTB departments to highlight their roles and contributions. – Borneo Bulletin/ANN
