Tourism and exports boost economy

THE government expects the economy to expand faster than it initially projected, thanks to a rebound in exports and near- record foreign tourist arrivals boosting private consumption.

South-East Asia’s second-largest economy will probably grow 2.7% this year, compared with an earlier forecast of 2.4%, Finance Ministry officials said on Friday.
