Two killed, nine injured as express bus overturns in western Myanmar


YANGON: Two people were killed and nine others were injured after an express bus overturned in western Myanmar's Sagaing Region, an official from the Monywa Rescue Organisation told Xinhua on Tuesday (July 16).

The crash occurred around 8.30am local time on Monday in Ye-U Township due to over speeding, he said.

Among the fatalities were a passenger and a bus conductor, while nine others sustained injuries, he added.

The Monywa Rescue Organisation transported the injured to the local hospital, the official said. - Xinhua/ANN
