Myanmar to hold bodybuilding, athletic physique competition for Olympic Day

YANGON: Myanmar will hold a bodybuilding and athletic physique competition in Yangon on Saturday (June 22) to mark Olympic Day 2024, an official from the Myanmar Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation said on Friday (June 21).

"Like other sports events being held across the world, this is an event to celebrate Olympic Day 2024," U Min Zaw Oo, secretary of the Myanmar Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation, told Xinhua.

He added that the competition will help promote national health and fitness and produce young talents to represent Myanmar in international contests.

Around 70 bodybuilders will compete in three categories: men's bodybuilding, men's athletic physique and women's athletic physique. - Xinhua/ANN
