Girl drowns in Taal Lake, Philippines

LUCENA CITY (Philippines): A 12-year-old girl drowned while swimming on Thursday (June 13), in Taal Lake in Cuenca town in Batangas province.

In a report on Friday, the Region 4A police said Ayessa Marie Hosmillo, along with his elder brother, 18, and sister, 14, went to the lake in Barangay San Felipe around 3pm to take a dip.

The three strayed into the deeper part of the lake, causing the victim to drown, police said. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN
