Philippine town Aparri to see peak temperatures of 47°C on May 31


MANILA: Aparri in Cagayan province was forecast to have a peak heat index of 47ºC as 42 other areas nationwide would feel dangerously high temperatures on Friday (May 31), the state weather agency said.

The “danger” level heat indices come even as the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) declared the onset of the rainy season in the country on May 29.
