Child dies after being left on school bus during summer heat

THAI BINH: A five-year-old boy was pronounced dead late Wednesday (May 29) evening after being left in a school bus in Thai Binh Province.

According to preliminary reports, the child, identified by his initials as T.G.H., was taken from his house to Hong Nhung 2 Preschool with his classmates by their teacher Q.A.

H.’s family could not find him when they came to the school to pick him up in the afternoon.

He was later found in the school bus and was rushed to the emergency room at Thai Binh Provincial Hospital, where he passed away.

The highest temperature in Thai Binh Province on Wednesday registered at 36 degrees Celsius.

Phu Xuan Commune’s authorities confirmed that H. was living with his maternal grandmother while his mother was away for work.
