Thaksin’s talks with Myanmar rebel groups ‘will cause confusion’


BANGKOK: The House committee on national security and border affairs has said it will investigate the case of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra reportedly holding talks with resistance groups in Myanmar.

The international news agency, VOA Burmese, reported on Monday (May 6) that Thaksin had recently met representatives of the Kachin National Organisation and the National Unity Government to try and resolve the ongoing armed conflict in the neighbouring country.
