Laos to launch projects nationwide to further protect environment


VIENTIANE (Xinhua): Five pivotal projects will be executed across Laos to enhance environmental protection, management and awareness.

The projects were funded by the Environment Protection Fund (EPF), a Lao government fund established for supporting natural resources management and environmental protection effectively and sustainably, according to a report from the EPF on Monday.

The funded projects include a four-year initiative (2024-2027) to protect and manage water catchments, and a four-year initiative (2024-2027) to create a green, clean and beautiful environment for offices, organizations, villages and schools, enhancing green spaces and waste-free zones, among others. - Xinhua
