Northern Gaza facing widespread famine that may spread to south, says top UN official

ROME/GAZA (Bernam-WAFA): The director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), Cindy McCain, today confirmed that there is a comprehensive famine in the northern Gaza Strip that might spread, Palestine News Agency (WAFA) reported.

McCain confirmed, according to a report published on the organisation’s official website, that the population in the Gaza Strip suffers from severe food shortages and food insecurity after seven months of Israeli aggression.
