BANGKOK (The Nation Thailand/ANN): Thailand's Government House is reporting that Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has nominated Maris Sangiampongsa, former advisor to Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, to the post of Foreign Minister, replacing Parnpree, who resigned from the position on Sunday.

Parnpree announced his shock resignation after being stripped of the post of deputy PM in the PM's cabinet reshuffle.
