Brunei King to attend bilateral meeting with Thai PM

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Brunei King Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah will pay an official visit to Thailand from Sunday (April 28) onwards.

While in Bangkok, His Majesty will attend a bilateral meeting with Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, established on January 1, 1984.

His Majesty last visited Bangkok in November 2022 for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM).

His Majesty previously made two state visits to Thailand in 1988 and 2002, as well as an official visit in 2012.

The two leaders last met in Bandar Seri Begawan last October when the Thai PM made an official visit to Brunei. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
