Major water disruptions in Brunei-Muara Districts due to repair works


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Leakages at Gadong Booster Pump at midnight on Monday (April 22) caused water disruptions to Mukim Berakas ‘A’, Mukim Berakas ‘B’ and neighbouring Mukim Gadong in the Brunei-Muara District.

According to the Public Works Department (JKR) at the Ministry of Development, emergency repair works of the pipe is ongoing, requiring the shutdown of water supply to several areas.

The affected areas: Kampong Mata-Mata, Kampong Jangsak, every area in Perpindahan Kampong Mata-Mata, Kampong Sungai Hanching, Kampong Sungai Tilong, Kampong Sungai Orok, Kampong Salambigar, Kampong Tanah Jambu, Perumahan Expo Lambak, some area in Perpindahan Lambak Kanan, Simpang 420 Jalan Muara, Kampong Pulaie, Kampong Anggerek Desa, Kampong Orang Kaya Besar Imas, Delima 1, Delima 2, Kampong Pancha Delima, Kampong Serusop, Maktab Teknik Sultan Saiful Rijal, Kampong Manggis 1, Kampong Sungai Akar, Kampong Belimbing, Land Transportation Departmenty (JPD) Sungai Akar.

Radio Television Brunei (RTB) Sungai Akar, Internal Security Department (KDN) Sungai Akar, Diplomatic Enclave, Jalan Kebangsaan Lama, government department and housing at Airport Lama, government departments and ministries at Jalan Menteri Besar and Jalan Dewan Majlis, kawasan Stadium Negara, International Convention Centre (ICC), government housing Anggerek Desa, Perkhemahan Berakas, Kampong Jaya Bakti, Kampong Jaya Setia (Times Square, Airport Mall), Kampong Burung Pingai Berakas, Diplomatic area Simpang 336, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah school, Al-Falaah School, Islamic Da’wah Centre.

Ministry of Finance and Economy building, Kampong Kumbang Pasang, kawasan Gadong, Kampong Menglait, Jln Batu Besurat, Kampong Pengkalan Gadong, Stesen Elektrik Gadong, Kampong Tungkadeh Mabohai, Jln Ong Sum Ping, Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam secondary School, Raja Isteri Fatimah Primary School, Raja Isteri Girls High School and Mabohai Primary School.

Members of the public who are affected by the water disruption can collect waters at the blue tanks located at Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Hasssanal Bolkiah Mosque, Kampong Jangsak, Kampong Perpindahan Mata-Mata Mosque, Mohamad Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Serusop, Ash-Shaliheen Mosque, Pulaie Mosque and Kampong Sungai Hanching Mosque.
