Heatwave continues as parts of Cambodia forecast to reach 38°C


PHNOM PENH: The Cambodian Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has issued a notification on the weather situation in Cambodia from Saturday to Monday (April 8) as reported by Khmer Times.

Low pressure covers the Gulf of Thailand, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the central Mekong Basin and the South China Sea, the ministry said.

This situation will cause from Saturday to Monday (April 8):

1. Lowland area:

* Minimum temperature 26°C and maximum temperature 38°C. Winds from the southeast and southwest have an average speed of 2 m / s.

2. Upland areas:

* Minimum temperature 23°C and maximum temperature 38°C. Winds from the west and southwest have an average speed of 3 m / s.

3. Coastal areas:

* Minimum temperature 25°C and maximum temperature 36°C. Winds from the southwest have an average speed of 3 m / s. There may be rain with thunder and gust covering 5% of the area.

Wave height has a minimum average height of 0.50 meters and a maximum average height of 1.50 metres.
