Brunei exports volume rose 11.3% in Q4 2023


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei's exports volume index for the fourth quarter of 2023 recorded an 11.3 per cent increase compared to the same period in the previous year, according to government data released on Tuesday (April 2).

The increase was primarily driven by the rise index of mineral fuels and chemicals, said the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics of Brunei.

Brunei's exports value in the fourth quarter of 2023 recorded 4,457.4 million Brunei dollars (US$3,299.1 million).

Meanwhile, the imports volume index increased by 4.1 per cent, driven by a rise in machinery and transport equipment, manufactured goods and chemicals, showed the government data. - Xinhua
