Myanmar aims to plant 700,000 acres of rain-fed paddy in 2024-25 FY


YANGON: Myanmar aims to plant 700,000 acres of rain-fed paddy with 140 billion kyats (about US$66.6 million) of state economic promotion fund in the 2024-25 fiscal year (FY), according to the state-run Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV).

Efforts were being made to get 200,000 kyats (about $95.23) per acre for inputs, MRTV said, citing agriculture official Myo Kyaw Thu.
