Easing the peoples burden - Brunei govt sets ceiling price set on essential items for Ramadan

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): The Brunei government has announced that a Seasonal Maximum Price Setting will be implemented on selected food items throughout the month of Ramadan until the first week of Syawal to maintain affordability and accessibility of essential goods during the celebratory period.

The move will be monitored by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (JPES), Ministry of Finance and Economy in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) announced in a statement.
