240,000 stimulant tablets, 9.8 kg raw opium seized in central Myanmar


YANGON: Myanmar's authorities have seized 240,000 stimulant tablets and 9.8 kilograms of raw opium in the central regions of Myanmar, said a release by the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Thursday (Feb 15).

Acting on a tipoff, anti-narcotic police searched a vehicle in Minhla township of Magway region on Tuesday and found 240,000 stimulant tablets worth 480 million kyats (about US$228,57), the committee said.
