Fire in southern Myanmar destroys seven houses and vehicles


YANGON, Feb. 11 (Xinhua): A fire has destroyed seven houses and several vehicles in southern Myanmar, an official from a rescue organisation told Xinhua on Sunday.

An early morning fire engulfed Myeik Town's free funeral service society building, causing the damages, an official said. The fire broke out around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday and it was extinguished at around 3 a.m.

The official said the cause of the fire is faulty wiring. According to him, no fatalities or injuries were reported. - Xinhua
