Four killed in military attacks in Myanmar's Sagaing region

YANGON: Four people were killed in military attacks in Myanmar's Sagaing region, the official daily The Mirror reported on Thursday (Feb 8).

The attacks, carried out by the People's Defence Force using bomb launchers and guns, hit Kan village of Mingin town in Sagaing region at around 6am local time on Wednesday, the report said.

The attackers also set fire to about 35 houses, the report said.

The deceased were all males, it said.

Security personnel were taking necessary measures to reinforce stability and peace in the area. - Xinhua
