24 species of valuable medicinal plants recorded in Myanmar's largest national park


YANGON (Xinhua): The Hkakaborazi National Park, the largest national park in Myanmar, has recorded 24 species of medicinal plants, Daw L.K.C. Yun, head of the Research and Education Section of the park has confirmed.

There are more than 24 species of medicinal plants in the park, but currently 24 species are approved medicinal plants with their photos, scientific names and utility, she added.

These medicinal plants are documented in the park's gallery, where visitors can learn how they work and how useful they are. In addition, there is an opportunity to display medicinal plants on special occasions held in Kachin State.

Over 290 species of trees, 220 species of orchids including black orchid and 24 species of medicinal plants were recorded in the park.
