Happy time for Filipinos - No typhoon in sight on New Year’s eve, first few days of 2024, says weatherman

MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN): The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Saturday forecast no typhoons for New Year’s Eve and the first few days of 2024.

"We still do not monitor a low pressure area that could potentially become a typhoon that could affect our country before the end of this year until the first days of 2024," said state weather specialist Daniel James Villamil.
