Thailand unveils initiative to preserve and promote Songkran traditions


BANGKOK (Bernama): Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has unveiled plans to preserve and promote Songkran traditions across diverse communities to ensure its continued vibrancy for future generations.

Songkran, the country's traditional New Year festival, was officially inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO on Wednesday.
