SEOUL (Bloomberg): One of Elon Musk’s rockets carrying a South Korean spy satellite took off for orbit as the rivalry between the two Koreas expands beyond Earth.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 carrying Seoul’s first domestically made reconnaissance satellite launched from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 10:19 a.m. Friday, according to a SpaceX webcast. SpaceX ended its webcast after the reusable booster returned to Earth, so satellite deployment couldn’t be immediately confirmed.
