BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of death worldwide, and Brunei is no exception. Brunei recorded 669 cardiovascular deaths last year compared to 416 cases in 2021, making cardiovascular disease the second major cause of death in the Sultanate, said Cardiac Society Brunei Darussalam (CSBD) President Pengiran Dr Md Nadzir Pengiran Mohd Juanda.
He said this during the society’s 10th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) at the Indera Samudra Grand Hall of The Empire Brunei in Jerudong yesterday.
