SEOUL (Bloomberg): North Korea appears to be allowing entry for foreigners for the first time since it shut its borders at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020, opening up a source of revenue that once provided the country with hard currency.
North Korea announced foreigners would be allowed to enter the country starting Monday (Sept 25), according to a report by China’s state broadcaster CCTV. Visitors will need to quarantine for two days, the report said. There was no immediate report in North Korea’s state media about the move.
