BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin (pic) said on Thursday (Sept 21) that he has no plan to replace the governor of the Bank of Thailand, dismissing media reports that said he was considering removing Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput from the post as “funny”.
“Some people say the prime minister has no right to fire [the central bank governor]. I have no such thought, not to mention if I have any right to do so,” Srettha said.
