VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): A feasibility study of the Project Development Agreement (PDA) for the Nam E-moun 1 and Nam E-moun 2 hydropower dams, estimated to cost US$450 million and which would comprise mixed clean energy schemes with an installed capacity of 255MW, was signed by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and Xaysana Energy Sole Co, Ltd in Vientiane on Sept 6.
The main shareholders in the PDA are Xaysana Energy Sole Co., Ltd. and Space Hydro Power Sole Co.,Ltd, which plan to build a hydropower dam with installed capacity of 75MW, pump storage of 100MW and floating solar power of 50MW, with much of the electricity generated to support the energy requirements of Vietnamese market.
