HANOI (Reuters): Vietnam has 7 million to 8 million metric tonnes of rice for export this year, after putting aside sufficient for national food security, the country's agriculture minister said on Tuesday (Aug 15).
The country's irrigation systems allow its farmers to produce rice all year round in the Mekong Delta, Le Minh Hoan told the National Assembly.
