BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): Brunei Darussalam will not be sending its national football squad to the 32nd South-East Asian Games (SEA Games) in Cambodia after failing to meet the criteria set by the secretariat for the national assessment and selection committee.
Permanent Secretary (Sports) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Mohd Amirrizal Mahmud said, “The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) applied for participation in the Cambodian SEA Games but after an assessment by the secretariat, it was found that the football team is not ready. Therefore, Brunei will not compete in football in the SEA Games this year.
