BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Feb 18 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Personnel from the Law Enforcement Division of the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) detained two local men, aged 29 and 55, for allegedly attempting to smuggle and possession of contraband during a joint operation at the waterways of Pulau Pepata.

Some 2,784 cans and 696 bottles of alcohol, 100 cartons of cigarettes, BND162 and MYR41 cash, a 27-foot boat with its engine and a mobile phone believed to be used for smuggling were seized.
