PM Hun Sen to visit China

AT the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Hun Sen will pay an official visit to China from Feb 9 to 11, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced.

As an old friend and good friend of the Chinese people, Hun Sen will be the first foreign leader China hosts after the Chinese Lunar New Year in 2023, which fully demonstrates the high level of bilateral ties, Mao said at a press briefing on Monday.

During the visit, Chinese leaders will meet and hold talks with Hun Sen to exchange in-depth views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of common concern, she added.

This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and also the China-Cambodia Friendship Year, which China hopes will help promote the building of a China-Cambodia community with a shared future and carry on their friendship from generation to generation, she said. — Xinhua
