Bomb dropped on Myanmar monastery using drone


YANGON (Eleven Media Group/Asia News Network): A bomb was dropped using a drone at the Sri Dhamma Monastery in Leppantha Village, Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region, announced the information team of the State Administration Council (SAC) on Dec 6.

An unknown group was behind the incident at around 12:30pm on Dec 4. The resulting explosion damaged a sheet of zinc plate on the roof of a religious hall at the monastery, the team said.

Security forces are investigating to identify and arrest those involved in the incident, it added.
