Vietnam reports 362 new Covid-19 cases and one death on Tuesday (Dec 6)

HANOI, Dec. 6 (Xinhua): Vietnam recorded 362 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, down 65 from Monday, according to the country's Ministry of Health.

All the new cases were locally transmitted, said the ministry.

The new infections brought the total tally to 11,518,511.

The Southeast Asian country reported a new death from the pandemic in the southern province of Tay Ninh on Tuesday, lifting the total fatalities to 43,178.

As of Tuesday, 72 severe cases were in need of assisted breathing and 10,609,139 Covid-19 patients, or over 92 percent of the total infections, have recovered, according to the ministry.

Nearly 264.8 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in the country, including over 223.1 million shots on people aged 18 and above, said the ministry. - Xinhua
