TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (Philippine Daily Inquirer): Almost 7,000 residents had to be brought to safety in Cagayan province as Typhoon Neneng (international name: Nesat) battered a wide area of Northern Luzon on Sunday (Oct 16).
The Cagayan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office reported Sunday afternoon that 2,003 families or 6,911 people fled to evacuation centers in areas in the province still reeling from the devastation of Tropical Depression Maymay on Oct 12.
