Philippines expects to be free of cyclones in next few days

MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network): The country will have a breather from weather disturbances in the next few days as no tropical cyclone is forecast to form or enter the Philippine area of responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday (Oct 2).

“No tropical cyclone is expected form or enter PAR in the coming days, that's good news," Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.

Pagasa, however, earlier said that it expects two to four tropical cyclones this October.

Meanwhile, some parts of Luzon may experience overcast skies and rain showers due to the easterlies or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, according to Pagasa’s weather bulletin.

Cloudy skies and isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have a fair weather conditions with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
