Brunei records daily average of 268 Covid-19 cases in past week; slightly higher than last week's mark of 210

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct 3 (Xinhua): Brunei logged a daily average of 268 new Covid-19 cases in the past week compared to 210 cases per day the week before, the health ministry said on Monday.

According to the health ministry's weekly briefing, 45,365 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) results were uploaded to the government platform within one week, with 4.1 percent of them being positive.

Currently, no hospitalized cases are held in the intensive care unit and no cases require assisted breathing, according to the health ministry.

As of Oct 2, 78.5 per cent of Brunei's population have received three doses of Covid-19 vaccines, while 10.5 percent have taken the fourth dose.

The Covid-19 vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and China's Sinopharm are administered in the South-east Asian country. - Xinhua
