Four killed after heavy rain


Four people have been killed and four others remain missing after heavy rain caused by the Mulan typhoon.

The deceased include three in Hoa Binh province and one in Phu Tho province, according to the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.

The missing people include two in Hoa Binh province, and one each in the provinces of Tuyen Quang and Lao Cai.

Up to 129 houses were damaged in the provinces of Hoa Binh, Yen Bai and Tuyen Quang, with Hoa Binh seeing the most widespread damage.

A total of 1,233ha of rice fields were destroyed.

In Hanoi, heavy rains submerged 1,358ha of rice and other crops.

Ba Vi district had the greatest loss with 365ha. — Vietnam News/ANN
