Brunei store ordered to remove non-halal shoes from shelf

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, July 27 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): A business premise selling Pink Princess children’s shoes, found to be made from pig skin, was ordered to immediately keep the product from being sold openly, the Syariah Affairs Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) said yesterday.

The shoes were sent to the Scientific Laboratory Services Department at the Ministry of Health for testing following a public complaint.
