Brunei records 571 Covid-19 cases


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): Brunei Darussalam recorded 571 new Covid-19 cases yon Sunday (June 19), all detected through ART screening.

Updates provided by the Ministry of Health (MoH) added that two Category 5 cases are being treated in the intensive care unit, while two Category 4 cases are receiving respiratory assistance and under close observation.

Additionally, 478 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 152,968.

Meanwhile, 3,830 active cases remain, said the MoH.

It also stated that the vaccination coverage for children aged five to 11 is 84.8 per cent for the first dose, and 71.4 per cent for the second dose, while a total of 72.3 per cent of the population has received the booster shot.
