Over 12kg of heroin seized in Myanmar's central region


YANGON (Xinhua): Myanmar authorities seized 12.2kg of heroin along with 738,000 stimulant tablets in central Myanmar's Mandalay region, a police release said on Wednesday (June 8).

The heroin and stimulant tablets worth over 1.4 billion kyats (about US$756,700) were seized from a vehicle in the Pyin Oo Lwin township on June 4, the release said.

The police also arrested one person in the operation, it said.
