Myanmar's anti-narcotics task force seizes one million stimulant pills

YANGON (Xinhua): A combined team of anti-narcotics task force has seized 1 million stimulant tablets in Yangon, worth 1 billion kyats (US$540,540), according to a police statement on Monday (June 6).

Following a tip-off, the police raided a house located in Bayintnaung 10th street of Thingangyun township in Yangon on June 2 and confiscated one million stimulant pills worth 1 billion kyats ($540,540).

According to further investigation, the anti-narcotics agents arrested one female suspect at a house in Aungzeya 8th street in Thingangyun township on the same afternoon, the statement said.

The suspect was charged under the country's law.
