Covid-19 tally rises to 613,144 in Myanmar


YANGON (Xinhua): The number of Covid-19 cases has increased to 613,144 in Myanmar after four new infections were reported in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health said on Monday (May 16).

The ministry said health authorities tested 9,155 people for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate was 0.04 per cent.

No new deaths from the pandemic were confirmed in the country on Monday, leaving the death toll unchanged at 19,434, according to the ministry.
